Castleton, The Family Home
Castleton was built as a family home, it became a hotel in the mid '80s and flourished with an excellent reputation for its restaurant which many will remember was mainly in the large conservatory built on the west side of the house. By 2008 it was in poor repair and the restaurant had to close for good in 2010. The house was then converted in to a property offering exclusive use self catering holidays which was extremely well received. Unfortunately the self catering market comes with its down sides and by November 2016 the wear and tear had became too much for this beautiful house.
2017 has seen a great deal of structural work and improvements as the house is converted back into the family home that it was first built to be. It is now unfurnished and undergoing an extensive programme of redecoration.
